Rules
Wotcha pairs you with random strangers. Keep it decent and everyone has a better time.
You must be 18 or over
Wotcha is for adults only. If you're under 18, leave now. If you think someone you meet is under 18, report them straight away.
Don't
- Show nudity or sexual content, or ask anyone else to.
- Harass, threaten or bully anyone, or use hate speech.
- Spam, advertise or scam. Links are removed automatically.
- Record or screenshot people without their consent.
- Share anyone's personal information, including your own.
Reports and bans
Anyone can report the person they're chatting with. People who get reported by several different users are banned automatically.
Privacy
Chats aren't stored. The one exception: if someone reports a chat, the last 20 text messages of that chat are saved so a moderator can review the report. These are deleted after 30 days. Video and audio go directly between you and the other person (or through a relay server when a direct connection isn't possible) and are never recorded. If you send a message in another language, it is passed to an AI translation service (Cloudflare Workers AI) to translate it, and not kept. To enforce bans and ratings, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address. We don't use tracking cookies; visitor counts come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies.
Stay safe
- You can skip anyone at any time. Press Esc.
- Never agree to move a chat to another app with someone you've just met.
- Remember that the other person could be recording, even though that's against the rules.
